Clinical Pharmacist PD

As a Clinical Pharmacist in our Oncology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will work closely with our healthcare team to interpret physician orders, enter medication orders into the computer, and dispense medication as prescribed. Your expertise in oncology pharmacy will be essential in participating in Drug Utilization Evaluations, drug review, education, patient monitoring, and Quality Assurance programs.
Responsibilities:
Interpret physician orders and make appropriate interventions to ensure safe and effective drug therapy
Enter or verify medication orders into the computer and dispense medication as prescribed
Participate in Drug Utilization Evaluations, drug review, education, patient monitoring, and Quality Assurance programs
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
Currently licensed by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation
Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program
PGY1 and PGY2 (in the area of specialization) Residency or equivalent experience
Board Certification in Oncology preferred
