We are committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care, and we are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Cardiology.

This role will involve working under the general supervision of our Medical Director and physician partners to deliver competent medical care to patients at WakeMed.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, depending on the needs of the service, and will be responsible for a range of tasks including completion of referrals, consults, daily patient rounds, daily notes, discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, pre and post procedure care, prescribing, and patient care follow-ups.

As a collaborative and multidisciplinary team player, you will work closely with other healthcare providers to maximize the care we provide to our patients.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to function as an educator for PA/NP/DO students from healthcare education programs.

Within this role, you will maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Medical Board or Board of Nursing and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed.

Additional certifications such as Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area of practice, which will be outlined in the clinical job expectations and reviewed annually during the annual review process.

The successful candidate will understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values, and management of WakeMed.

Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Experience Preferred

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant Required - And Master's Degree Physician Assistant Preferred or Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree Nursing Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Required, Basic Life Support Required - Within 6 Months of Hire

Hours of Work:
Mon-Sun rotating, weekends per team guidelines

Weekend Requirements:
Every Third

Call Requirements:
