About the Role
This dynamic position offers an estimated salary of $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience. As a Nurse Liaison - Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, determining their level of medical assistance required, and developing personalized care plans. Your exceptional nursing skills and knowledge will enable you to provide high-quality patient care, while your communication expertise will facilitate effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments via phone or in-person to determine emergency treatment and appointment scheduling needs.
- Initiate emergency treatment when necessary, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Manage clinical care and support services for patients presenting at the clinic, either in-person or via telephone.
- Communicate patient information on a need-to-know basis with nurses, physicians, clinical associates, non-clinical staff, supervisors, and department heads.
- Summarize assessment data and make triage decisions, documenting and communicating them to other patient care providers.
- Ensure timely transcription and implementation of physician orders, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Administer medications according to proper nursing techniques and procedures, utilizing pharmacology knowledge and available resources.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Demonstrated nursing expertise and excellent communication skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related healthcare setting.
- BLS certification and current NC RN licensure.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
