The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting functions within the corporate finance sector, which encompasses areas such as debt and equity arrangements, revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and both standalone and consolidated financial reporting.

This role will collaborate closely with the VP of Technical and Corporate Accounting to ensure that the implementation of accounting research is executed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will be a transformative leader, fostering a positive culture and direction within the accounting team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification is mandatory
  • Experience with a Big Four Accounting Firm or a similarly sized firm is preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP systems is essential; familiarity with Workday is a plus.
  • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in the Accounting/Financial sector, including experience in public accounting or corporate environments with complex intercompany relationships
  • Expertise in consolidated corporate financial operations and intercompany accounting practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and current trends in financial operations
  • One to three years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced skills in Windows-based software, particularly Excel
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Oversee daily accounting activities for corporate finance, including the review and posting of journal entries as necessary
  • Manage accounting functions for corporate and headquarters operations, including equity arrangements, investments, new debt structures, intercompany transactions, and eliminations
  • Support the implementation and daily accounting processes for new reporting structures
  • Act as a liaison with the financial systems and innovation team to ensure that the needs of the corporate accounting team for system enhancements are addressed
  • Collaborate with operational finance teams to implement guidance in a practical manner, ensuring research projects are completed
  • Assist in the preparation and initial review of financial statements, focusing on balance sheets and cash flow, while also monitoring the P&L monthly
  • Facilitate intercompany relationships and transactions, ensuring proper reconciliation and documentation
  • Aid in the preparation of financial surveys required by governing bodies
  • Contribute to the preparation of foreign statutory financial statements and ongoing monitoring
  • Seek out new challenges and tasks that align with departmental goals, emphasizing efficiency and technology utilization
  • Oversee the financial statement close and audit processes at year-end
  • Undertake special projects or additional duties as assigned
