The Heuer Primary Care is a dynamic and supportive work environment that values teamwork and collaboration. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities- Provide general front and back office support to professional staff, including escorting patients to exam rooms and maintaining clean, neat, and well-stocked exam rooms.
- Utilize knowledge and skill to provide appropriate care in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and protocols and Arizona validated competencies.
- Perform a variety of clerical support duties, including receptionist, telephone, scheduling, message management, and data input.
- Assist the physician/clinician on exams and any special procedures, including preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients and prepping the patient for exam.
- May travel to off-site locations to perform diagnostic testing and assist in physical exam components, TB testing, injections, phlebotomy, and others.
- Perform venipuncture and obtain specimens, perform CLIA waived lab tests, and receive telephone calls from patients, pharmacy, and others, documenting and relaying information to the provider for action.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Completion of a MA training program Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS Required
- Fingerprint Clearance Card - State Have a current Fingerprint Clearance card, or within seven (7) working days after employment shall apply and be eligible for a Fingerprint Clearance Card (Pediatric Behavioral Health Sites ONLY) Required
