Job Overview

Sparks Group is seeking a highly skilled Grants Financial Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our financial management team, you will play a critical role in the financial management of research grants and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile accounts in the General Ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Maintain financial records for assigned awards under the portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Principle Investigators to provide financial guidance on grants status, budget, and expenses.
  • Support the Grants and Contracts pre-award team in the preparation and submission of grant applications and proposals.
  • Produce financial reports to stakeholders, providing insights into grant performance and financial health.
  • Monitor grants for compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in post-award grants, with a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • 1+ years of experience in pre-award grants, with a proven track record of successfully preparing and submitting grant applications.
