Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service at a high level, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking shelves.
  • Restock merchandise, including moving and rotating stock, and ensuring that displays are properly set up and maintained.
  • Identify and report any damaged or missing merchandise, and assist with the return of defective products to the manufacturer.
  • Verify buyback items and ensure they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
  • Update and validate wayfinding and product location signage, as well as digital maintenance of this information throughout the store.
  • Confirm that product pricing information is visible and clear, and resolve or replace any missing pricing labels.
  • Ensure cross-merchandise, side-stack products, j-hooks, and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately, helping to drive add-on sales.
  • Work with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale.
  • Sort products in bins, drawers, and boxes to ensure they are in the proper location.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Review, complete, and enter completion details for all assigned merchandise reset, service, and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all reset displays are safe and in working order, and repaired or replaced as needed.
  • Repair or seal damaged packaging and boxes, including peg-hook items.
  • Remove all trash, move cardboard boxes to the bailer, and move plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor.
  • Replace light bulbs and alert Facility Services Associate (FSA) when additional maintenance issues are noted.
  • Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection.
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs, including Zone Recovery, to maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and working areas.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one's regular job duties, including top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices.
  • Operate store equipment as needed, depending on one's specific role and department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
