Key Responsibilities- Provide customer service at a high level, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe store environment, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking shelves.
- Restock merchandise, including moving and rotating stock, and ensuring that displays are properly set up and maintained.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing merchandise, and assist with the return of defective products to the manufacturer.
- Verify buyback items and ensure they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
- Update and validate wayfinding and product location signage, as well as digital maintenance of this information throughout the store.
- Confirm that product pricing information is visible and clear, and resolve or replace any missing pricing labels.
- Ensure cross-merchandise, side-stack products, j-hooks, and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately, helping to drive add-on sales.
- Work with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale.
- Sort products in bins, drawers, and boxes to ensure they are in the proper location.
- Review, complete, and enter completion details for all assigned merchandise reset, service, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all reset displays are safe and in working order, and repaired or replaced as needed.
- Repair or seal damaged packaging and boxes, including peg-hook items.
- Remove all trash, move cardboard boxes to the bailer, and move plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor.
- Replace light bulbs and alert Facility Services Associate (FSA) when additional maintenance issues are noted.
- Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs, including Zone Recovery, to maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and working areas.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates.
- Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one's regular job duties, including top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices.
- Operate store equipment as needed, depending on one's specific role and department.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
