Position Overview:

We are looking for a Retail Operations Supervisor who will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our dispensary in alignment with state regulations and company policies. This role involves supporting the Store Manager in managing store activities and ensuring that our Retail Representatives are trained, motivated, and equipped to provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly communicate with and coach staff to maintain excellence in sales and service.
  • Assist in placing orders for store supplies with the approval of the General Manager.
  • Help implement best practices, regulatory processes, and internal policies.
  • Carry out operational, sales, and retail tasks as assigned by the company.
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by adhering to store standards and operating procedures.
  • Support the General Manager with interviews, performance reviews, and training sessions.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding products, services, and industry regulations.
  • Address staff inquiries, concerns, or suggestions promptly.
  • Resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Inspire and manage internal staff to deliver top-notch customer service that reflects the JARS brand.
  • Utilize reporting tools from the POS system to motivate staff in achieving sales goals.
  • Act as the secondary point of contact in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Provide training to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure proper installation of marketing materials and displays within the store.
  • Promote teamwork by collaborating with the management team and providing clear direction.
  • Maintain compliance with JARS policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Communicate goals and responsibilities effectively with Retail Representatives and Floor Leads.
  • Foster a strong, professional relationship with the General Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or hospitality.
  • Previous management experience is highly preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify and develop top talent.
  • Willingness to learn about state-specific cannabis laws and compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Integrity and ethical conduct in all interactions.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.

Work Environment:

  • Prolonged standing and some bending, stooping, and stretching are required.
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
  • Work is typically performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensary.
  • Frequent interaction with customers and staff.
  • Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
