Job Summary

The CAS Accountant is a key member of our team, responsible for supporting clients in the areas of payroll, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable processing, and general accounting. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to interact with clients and provide timely support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll processing: Gather client employee timesheets, process paychecks, and ensure accurate payroll reports.
  • Accounts payable: Process vendor bills, download and code credit card transactions, and manage cash disbursements.
  • Accounts receivable: Process client invoices, post customer payments, and manage sales tax reports.
  • General accounting: Reconcile bank statements, assign accounting codes, and assist with fixed asset accounting.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in accounting or business management with a minimum 3.0 GPA, or high school degree and minimum 3 years of experience in a staff accountant position.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime during month-end close and special projects.
