Senior Systems Engineer

Position Overview:
Our client is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to enhance their Enterprise IT Operations Organization. This role involves the management of infrastructure components, including both on-premise and cloud-based virtual platforms, alongside essential technologies such as backup solutions, replication, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-level support for infrastructure challenges, managing and addressing tickets through the Service Management platform.
  • Participate in a 24/7 support model, which includes an on-call rotation and collaboration with the offshore Shared Services team.
  • Guarantee the secure, efficient, and current operation of infrastructure systems.
  • Address the needs of corporate, regional, and divisional business units.
  • Ensure compliance with IT controls related to areas of responsibility.
  • Contribute significantly to the creation and maintenance of accurate documentation.
  • Propose and implement solutions for identified infrastructure challenges.
  • Resolve performance-related issues within the enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Lead the assessment and identification of enterprise system specifications, utilizing industry best practices.
  • Assist IT management in making informed technology decisions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional IT experience, with at least 8 years in an Infrastructure Engineer role.
  • Extensive experience in IT enterprise infrastructure deployment, including data centers, virtualization, enterprise storage, and networking.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Domain Controller management, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Exchange, mailbox migrations, Intune, SCCM, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Expertise in Azure services and infrastructure technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Operating Systems and infrastructure management tools.
  • Experience with vendor relations and managed services.
