About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Software Engineer to join our Robotic Movement team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in advancing the capabilities of our robotic mobility solution and driving innovation in AI-powered robotics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop novel ML systems, product integrations, and performance optimizations
  • Develop and integrate software that controls and optimizes robotic fulfillment centers at large scale
  • Prototype and test concepts or features using simulation tools, emulators, and live robotic equipment
  • Collaborate with research organization, principal applied scientists, and software engineers to bring research to production
  • Lead and support the development of novel ML systems, product integrations, and performance optimizations
  • Mentor and grow enthusiastic software engineers and applied scientists across the organization

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing
  • 2+ years of experience in object-oriented programming and modern programming languages
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • ML data management, creating training datasets, building and training machine learning infrastructure, model deployment, ML infrastructure monitoring and maintenance
  • Bachelors, masters, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience in ML
