Responsibilities:
As a Construction Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be tasked with the following:

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Senior Inspector in overseeing and documenting the work executed by construction contractors to ensure adherence to contract documents, plans, and specifications.

Engage in technical assignments related to field surveying and construction layout, perform engineering calculations, inspect construction activities, and conduct field tests throughout all construction phases alongside the Senior Inspectors.


General Duties Include:
Effective communication in English (both verbal and written)

Accountability:
Receive guidance from the Senior Inspector while assisting in their responsibilities.

Undertake additional tasks as required.


Examine, document, and confirm the work completed by the construction contractor for compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications.

Collaborate closely with the contractor to address any field issues or escalate concerns to the Senior Inspectors.

Measure and evaluate the work performed by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications.

Apply basic engineering surveying techniques to verify alignment and elevations.

Document the construction materials received and verified.

Engage multiple perspectives in problem-solving, seek knowledge from peers, and promote reciprocal learning among team members.

Advocate for full inclusion in the workplace, creating an environment that embraces diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities served by TranSystems.

Be prepared to work nights and weekends as necessary.

Qualifications:

What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Two (2) years of experience in construction inspection,

with at least one (1) year in bridge and/or roadway construction.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations and familiarity with Word and Excel.

Understanding of construction specifications and standards.


Must possess or be able to obtain the required CTQP qualifications while employed by TranSystems within one year of hire or as required for specific projects.
