Position Details
Night Shift: 7pm - 7:30am / Full Time / 36 Hours
Emory University Hospital is in search of a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in critical care.
This role is situated in a 21-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, delivering specialized medical attention to patients facing severe heart conditions, including Congestive Heart Failure and Cardiogenic Shock. Key areas of expertise encompass airway management, hemodynamics, and left ventricular support devices.
We take pride in being the only health system in Georgia with four Magnet-recognized hospitals. We are seeking passionate and experienced critical care nurses and nurse leaders who are eager to contribute to a team that is transforming the standards of nursing care.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Possession of a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) are required.
- Demonstrates comprehensive clinical skills and knowledge in caring for patients, with a focus on a specific patient demographic.
- Utilizes acquired knowledge, research, and clinical experience to adapt to changes in patient conditions.
- Applies the Synergy Model for Care to personalize patient and family care.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues and advocates for patients and their families.
- Communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Delivers safe and effective nursing care independently, employing the nursing process.
- Exhibits strong assessment skills and recognizes the influence of nursing care on patient outcomes.
- Documents nursing processes accurately in the appropriate formats.
- Plans and implements patient care autonomously, incorporating patient and family goals.
- Evaluates patient responses to care and modifies plans as necessary.
- Identifies educational needs of patients and families, providing appropriate resources.
- Integrates the AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice.
- Performs additional duties as required.
