Employee Benefits Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Employee Benefits Service Specialist. As a key member of our Employee Benefits department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, supporting various areas within the department, and helping to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data entry of client employees into insurance carrier enrollment systems
  • Populating benefits and premium information into customizable administration portals
  • Creating small group medical insurance comparison proposals using software systems
  • Preparing employee benefits enrollment materials for clients
  • Assisting with service for claims, benefits, billing, and enrollment for clients
  • Back-up main switchboard duties
  • Gaining knowledge of the industry and growing into a more valuable role within the agency
  • Processing incoming electronic mail and attaching relevant information to client records
  • Promptly answering and returning phone calls
  • Identifying opportunities to improve overall efficiencies and processes within the department
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; college education or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and handle heavy workloads with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines and working with shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications
  • Ability to independently initiate new and creative concepts
