Job Summary

The Mental Health Technician plays a vital role in assisting patients and families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene. As a member of the patient care team, this individual must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare staff
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • 12 college-level credit hours, including English Composition with a C or higher and a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not required
  • Service industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work flexible hours and provide excellent customer service
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
