Pediatric Nursing Leadership Opportunity

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Nursing Director to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our pediatric department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while meeting quality, legal, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the pediatric department, including staff supervision and coordination of care.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, The Joint Commission, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provide leadership and organization of the day-to-day operations, working cooperatively with ancillary services and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Partner with the Director of Nursing to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of pediatric nursing practices and procedures, with a focus on quality patient care.
