Job SummaryThis position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the Quality Management System, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, process improvement, and auditing.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate process improvement efforts to ensure continued improvement and correction of process issues
- Develop and analyze process control statistics to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Apply sound systematic methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues
- Review customer complaints and assist in developing corrective action responses
- Provide input to managers concerning quality trends and implement corrective measures
- Analyze and determine if work is non-conforming to requirements
- Utilize internal metrics to determine risks and opportunities in the Quality Management System
- Communicate effectively with all parties in the event of a quality issue
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in manufacturing quality field, or
- Associate's degree and at least 4 additional years of experience in the shipbuilding and/or manufacturing quality field, or
- High school diploma and at least 5 years' experience in the shipbuilding industry
- Strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and effective written and verbal communication skills
