Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the development, review, and auditing of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate process improvement efforts with teams to ensure continued improvement and correction of process issues
  • Develop and analyze process control statistics and recommend corrective actions when processes are unstable
  • Apply sound systematic methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues
  • Responsible for evaluating corrective measures for implementation and effectiveness resulting from corrective actions
  • Reviews customer complaints and assists in development of corrective action responses
  • Provide input to managers concerning quality trends
  • Responsible to analyze MMC, and determine if work is non-conforming to requirements
  • Utilizes internal metrics to determine risks and opportunities in Quality Management System
  • Provide proper communication to all parties in the event of a quality issue
  • Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the “spirit” of the organization
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in manufacturing quality field, or
  • Associate's degree and at least 4 additional years of experience in the shipbuilding and/or manufacturing quality field, or
  • High school diploma and at least 5 years' experience in the shipbuilding industry
  • Six Sigma Trained preferred
  • Prior experience in a supplier quality role preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
Skills:
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality
