We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Lead to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As an Environmental Services Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Environmental Services department, ensuring that our facilities are clean and safe for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Assign tasks to employees, inspect completed work, and resolve employee problems or refer matters to the EVS Manager, Director of Patient Support, or Human Resources.
- Operational Management: Monitor employee breaks and lunches, study production schedules, and estimate time required for completion of job assignments.
- Employee Development: Gain knowledge of employees' strengths and weaknesses, and initiate or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
- Quality Assurance: Interprets company policies for employees, enforces safety regulations, and interprets work orders for employees and assigns duties.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Environmental Service supervisory experience or training desired, or any equivalent combination of training and supervisory experience.
- Skills: Knowledge of Environmental Service/Janitorial duties and responsibilities, ability to read and write English, and ability to operate hospital computer.
