Our team is passionate about staying at the forefront of periodontal care, and we're seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team.

Role and Responsibilities

The Surgical Dental Assistant will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the best clinical outcomes, and meeting the needs of our patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting surgeons during surgery by performing duties such as tissue retraction, intravenous lines, and completing documentation.
  • Verifying patient identity and operative sites.
  • Discussing surgical procedures with the surgeon, including operative consent and methods of operative exposure.
  • Maintaining aseptic technique throughout procedures.
  • Ensuring an unobstructed operative field using surgical retractors, sponges, and suctioning and irrigating equipment.
  • Determining availability of necessary equipment and supplies for operative procedures.
  • Inspecting and obtaining sterile and non-sterile surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments.
  • Operating sterilization devices.
  • Monitoring patient intraoperative status.
  • Obtaining dental radiographs and dental imaging.
  • Completing patient clinical narratives.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire.
  • At least one year of related experience preferred.
  • DAANCE certification preferred.
  • Licensed dental assistant preferred.
  • Radiology certification preferred.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The breakdown of the sign-on bonus includes receiving 50% of the bonus after successfully completing 30 days of employment and the remaining 50% upon successful completion of 90 days. Our benefits package includes:
