Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting our surgeons during procedures, and maintaining aseptic technique throughout operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preoperative and Postoperative Duties: Assist in preparing patients for surgery, verifying patient identity, and maintaining aseptic technique.
  • Surgical Support: Help surgeons during procedures by performing tasks such as tissue retraction, intravenous lines, and documentation.
  • Equipment and Supply Management: Ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies for operative procedures.
  • Patient Care: Monitor patient intraoperative status, obtain dental radiographs, and complete patient clinical narratives.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the practice.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire. DAANCE certification preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of related experience preferred. Licensed dental assistant preferred.
  • Skills: Basic computer knowledge, ability to work well in a team, good judgment, and critical thinking skills.
