Position: PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
As part of PruittHealth's commitment to exceptional care, we are expanding our Personal Care Services (PCS) division. We are currently seeking dedicated PRN Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate support in various settings, including private residences and assisted living facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver respectful and dignified care to patients, ensuring their comfort and privacy.
- Monitor and record vital signs for assigned patients.
- Adhere to protocols for managing medical emergencies and incidents affecting service delivery.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervisory staff.
- Observe and document any changes in patient condition, including skin health.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, errands, and light housekeeping.
- Support patient mobility and physical activity through transfers and exercises.
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Collaborate with the agency's RN Supervisor to coordinate care.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient visits.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours of annual in-service education and provide documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development training.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Adapt to changes in a positive manner and manage additional tasks as needed.
- Engage in agency evaluations and any required follow-up reports.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field through continuing education.
- Maintain required licensure and certifications.
- Respect patient rights, ensuring fair treatment and privacy.
- Comply with corporate compliance standards.
- Report any job-related hazards, including exposure to bodily fluids.
- Follow established safety protocols during all tasks.
- Utilize the Matrix Care documentation system after training.
Minimum Education Required:
- Completion of a state-recognized Home Care Aide training program with supervised clinical practice.
Minimum Experience Required:
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting working with adults.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Current registration as a Certified Nurse Aide in the State Nurse Aide Registry.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Personal Care Services is a plus.
