Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental Care Alliance. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
• Prepares patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating them, and ensuring they are properly draped.
• Provides information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning them for the dentist's access, suctioning, and passing instruments as needed.
• Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
• Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts as required.
• Maintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations, cleaning and polishing removable appliances, and providing oral hygiene instructions.
• Helps dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
• Educates patients by providing oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions to promote good oral health.
• Documents dental care services by charting in patient records and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and conserving dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• X-ray license required.
• Experience working as a Dental Assistant is essential.
• EFDA certification and coronal polishing certificate are required.
