Role Description

The Project Manager at Canyon's Construction reports directly to the CEO and oversees the project lifecycle from planning to execution. This role manages day-to-day construction and remodeling operations, adhering to our company's quality standards and workplace safety expectations. Essential tasks include plan review and troubleshooting, project scheduling, and subcontractor selection/hiring. The Project Manager serves as a liaison between project stakeholders, including designers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Effective navigation of professional relationships with subcontractors, vendors, internal team members, and clients is crucial to building Canyon's Construction's professional network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the field team to plan projects, optimizing labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor efficiency
  • Attend city/county inspections as required and ensure prompt follow-up to meet jurisdictional and project requirements
  • Evaluate and correct vendor/subcontractor work quality and performance as needed
  • Manage project timelines from award to final approvals and close-out
  • Provide field staff with necessary information, specifications, and supplies to complete projects successfully
  • Communicate and validate project scope with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion
  • Creation and management of project schedules, client meetings, and field measures
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to determine, execute, and evaluate client expectations
  • Work with the Design Manager and Craftsman to adhere to Canyon's Construction Services' budgetary, scheduling, and quality standards
  • Ensure proper management and validation of materials ordered, en route, and received at each project site
  • Collaborate with the internal team to provide superior customer service to our clients
Position Requirements
  • BA in Construction Management or equivalent certification/experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in managing projects between $100k-$1M in size
  • 5 years of experience in a residential construction project management position
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Calendar, Drive, Gmail) & Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Experience with Mavenlink or other project management software, a plus
  • General technical proficiency and adaptability to new systems or technologies
  • Adept at reading and interpreting construction plans, both structural and architectural
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive organization, time, and schedule management skills
