Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a school district near San Rafael, California. As an SLP with Soliant, you will have the opportunity to work with students of varying ages and abilities, assessing and diagnosing speech and language disorders, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and providing direct therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students both one-on-one and in small groups.
- Monitor and document students progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
- Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active California SLP licensure.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Previous school-based experience is highly preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
