Travel Skilled Nursing Facility Speech-Language Therapist

Preferred Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility Speech-Language Pathologist for a long-term position in California. This role involves working with patients at a skilled nursing facility, providing speech therapy and rehabilitation services to help them recover from communication disorders.

As a travel Skilled Nursing Facility Speech-Language Therapist, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient. You will assess patients' communication skills, diagnose any disorders, and create effective treatment programs to improve their quality of life.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping others. You should be able to work independently, think critically, and prioritize tasks effectively. Additionally, you should be familiar with ASHA guidelines for ethical and high-quality job performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' communication skills and diagnose any disorders.
  • Create personalized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment programs to improve patients' quality of life.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment progress accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Active state license as a speech-language pathologist.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • At least 6 months of SLP experience within the last 5 years.
