Job Responsibilities and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all unit functions during their shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Engage in ongoing assessments of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
- Work with experts and managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Promote engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.
- Provide input on hiring, training, and development of new staff. Recommend and implement actions related to training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure organizational excellence.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Oversee inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
- Previous Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
