Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Protection Specialist to join our team at Concentric. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for safeguarding our clients and their interests from various security and safety hazards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Operations: Safeguard clients from all forms of security and safety hazards, both domestically and internationally.
  • Advance Work: Assist with site surveys for events ranging from casual to high-level events, ensuring the safety and security of our clients.
  • Principal Driver: Operate vehicles in a safe and comfortable manner, preparing routes in advance and conducting vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level.
  • Follow Driver: Follow principal vehicles and provide security coverage on the road, identifying threats and intervening when necessary.
  • Close-in Protection: Provide security coverage for clients, guests, and others in a professional and courteous manner, while adhering to policy, procedures, and client preferences.
  • Liaison: Coordinate with internal staff and department heads to provide common support during client activities and events.
  • Communications: Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, writing reports and delivering oral and written briefings.
  • Physical Security: Stand at static posts or conduct walking patrols, providing escorts and other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Protective Operations.
  • Boating Operations: Participate in boating operations as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of related security experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required.
  • Physical Demands: Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Visual Requirements: Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, night vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to climb or balance, crouch, squat, kneel, stoop, or crawl; ability to swim 25 meters unassisted and without a flotation device; ability to stay alert, professional, and verbally interactive during the entirety of the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Collaborative Skills: Ability to work collectively and collaboratively with team members.
  • Firearm Permit: Ability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm.
  • Guard Card: May be required to obtain a guard card.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Microsoft Suite: Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
