Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist to contribute to the planning, organization, development, and management of Speech Language Pathology services. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with the latest federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as directed by the Administrator, to maintain the highest quality of resident care.

Position Overview: This is a PRN role with flexible day hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech therapy services and make referrals as necessary, adhering to established standards of practice and departmental procedures.
  • Conduct evaluations and gather essential data for effective treatment planning and execution.
  • Formulate a comprehensive treatment plan that includes targeted objectives, as well as short-term and long-term goals.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on relevant speech-language procedures to facilitate the integration of therapeutic goals into daily routines.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with CMS expectations using the NetHealth EMR system.
  • Oversee and implement appropriate protocols for FEES/MBS, coordinating with site programs.
  • Engage in screening protocols to ensure the timely and clinically excellent fulfillment of residents' needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency.
  • Active SLP license in the state(s) of practice is required.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.
