Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse and shipping department. This position is responsible for coordinating and assigning customer orders, shipments, and receiving product, while addressing product and employee concerns and resolving problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of warehouse staff, coordinating shipping and/or warehouse operations, including shipping schedules, loading operations, and material handling activities.
  • Perform product inventory activities, confirming physical inventory quantity and location, and reporting variances.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for new and existing employees, actively communicating procedures and workflow, and documenting training progression.
  • Monitor and communicate employees' work schedules to meet business needs, providing scheduling support to backfill vacancies and minimize department operation disruption.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce costs and drive productivity within the department, while achieving targeted Sales to Service Goals.
  • Perform all required EWM SAP transactions and complete all required documentation.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintain time and shipping records as required, prepare required reports, and ensure the warehouse work areas are clean and organized at all times.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
  • Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications, SAP a plus.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs, ability to lead others through change.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical abilities include the ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time in a manufacturing facility.
  • Environment includes wet, cold, hot, humid, chemicals, high noise - controlled at TWA of 85dB, wear approved personal protective equipment.
