Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Mount Carmel Health System. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support and care to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Measure and record vital signs, and provide approved patient education materials
  • Assist providers and RNs with procedures, and perform phlebotomy and lab specimen collection as needed
  • Prepare and administer medications, and maintain a clean and well-stocked patient care area
  • Document patient care observations and activities, and maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
  • Current license in good standing to practice as an LPN in the State of Ohio, IV certification preferred
  • One to two years previous experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills, and ability to work as a member of a team
  • Basic computer skills required, previous experience with EMR preferred
