POSITION OVERVIEW

The PRS Comprehensive Case Manager (Level 3) plays a crucial role in conducting home evaluations and providing post-release support utilizing trauma-informed methodologies, child welfare standards, and effective case management for minors and their guardians within the immigrant and refugee demographic. This position requires the completion of thorough assessment documentation. The PRS Comprehensive Case Manager (Level 3) will report directly to the HSPRS Clinical Supervisor and collaborate with the HS/PRS Program Director, designated HS/PRS Senior Program Manager, fellow HS/PRS Caseworkers, local community social service organizations, and at-risk children along with their guardians.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Hybrid - (Remote 20% - Travel 80%)
  • Frequent travel is an integral part of this role and case assignments.
  • Travel to the local office will be necessary as required.
  • Support for field staff will necessitate travel as needed.
  • Participation in training sessions will require travel as necessary.
  • Travel may be needed to assist other Regional Areas as required.
  • A Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related behavioral science field, with a minimum of three years of progressive experience, graduate-level licensure or eligibility; or a Bachelor's degree with at least five years of clinical experience and eligibility for licensure.
  • At least one year of direct clinical experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
  • Experience in child welfare, child placements, family preservation, behavioral health counseling, and social service delivery is preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-responsive service delivery and crisis intervention techniques is essential.
  • Proficiency in writing comprehensive and professional assessment reports is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of local resources for immigrant communities is necessary.
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A valid driver's license, insurance, a clean driving record, and personal transportation are mandatory.
  • This position may require up to 50 percent long-distance travel with minimal notice.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Commitment to comply with mandatory state reporting obligations for child abuse and neglect is essential.
  • A dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced individuals is expected.
  • Possession or ability to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification is required.
  • Demonstrated alignment with CPLC's values through respect for others, confidentiality maintenance, and appreciation of a multicultural workplace.
