About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our Advanced Network Solutions team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of complex programs, managing budgets, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead program execution through leadership, program scheduling, financial reporting, and budgeting
  • Manage contract deliverables, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate with program customers
  • Work with business area management to assess market and product offerings, and represent the PM viewpoint on the ability of the business area to execute to derived cost/schedule market requirements
  • Lead go/no-go decisions regarding new products and projects
  • Display proactive and flexible project-oriented dedication, with the ability to delegate to engineering PMs and drive down into detail to assist in areas of weakness
  • Lead the performance measurement and improvement of our customer's experience on the Viasat Government Segment
  • Serve as the primary interface to the customer(s) representing the entire program team and Viasat as a whole
  • Collaborate with team members across the organization to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurements for equipment and services related to communications and networking programs
  • Analyze program data and metrics to identify trends, optimize performance, and inform future program decisions
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building relationships and staying abreast of current trends and markets
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project/program management, with a strong track record of success in leading sophisticated technical projects
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Experience developing network technologies
  • Experience with Agile development framework and practices
  • Management of co-located team over diverse geographical locations
  • Proven ability to lead proposal efforts and participate in ongoing business development
  • Demonstrated ability of full understanding of Profit/Loss Concepts
  • Experience handling different contract types and risk management practices
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering (EE, CE, CS)
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Passion for proposal and white paper authoring
  • Experience with Government systems and service acquisition
  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Active US DoD Secret Clearance
