Overview:
The Revenue Optimization Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing pricing strategies and availability for Hertz Global Holdings. This position involves generating analytical reports and strategies aimed at monitoring, controlling, and enhancing revenue management practices and profitability. Collaborating with various departmental stakeholders, this individual will contribute to the assessment and refinement of revenue management methodologies. Additionally, they will assist in managing and implementing new processes and system transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic revenue plan utilizing analytics to drive profit enhancement and revenue growth in targeted segments and markets.
- Implement optimization strategies across key segmentation factors, including product offerings, distribution channels, and customer demographics, to achieve goals related to Revenue Per Day (RPD), Revenue Per Vehicle/Unit (RPV/U), and market share.
- Conduct thorough analyses of market dynamics, geographic trends, competitive landscapes, and overall business conditions in relation to revenue management.
- Establish expertise in revenue management automation, overseeing the management of detailed rate and decision rules that support pricing automation, while ensuring quality control of automated processes.
- Oversee all administrative functions related to revenue management within the North American Division.
- Foster strong relationships with corporate and field personnel, addressing inquiries and providing support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related or analytical field is required.
- Relevant business experience is essential, including internships or part-time roles during or after undergraduate studies.
- Experience in pricing, yield management, or quantitative marketing is preferred.
- Background in the Rent-A-Car or travel sector is advantageous.
- Strong grasp of economic principles and pricing/yield management concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Solid understanding of economic fundamentals.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are critical.
- Strong written and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
