Key Responsibilities:
The Patient Food Hospitality Attendant plays a crucial role in customer service, ensuring that Orlando Health patients and guests receive exceptional service to create a memorable dining experience.
Core Duties:
- Exhibit outstanding communication and customer service skills with patients, nursing staff, and visitors.
- Ensure accurate delivery of food trays to the correct patients while utilizing excellent customer service skills.
- Collaborate with the Orlando Health team to meet the nutritional needs of patients.
- Organize trays on the delivery cart and log delivery times.
- Maintain accurate records of tray locations and ensure timely delivery to patients.
- Handle payment collection for guest trays and log transactions with the diet office.
- Collect and remove soiled trays and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
- Coordinate tray delivery with the expeditor and diet office as needed.
- Assist in expediting trays from preparation areas, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor patient dietary prescriptions, order changes, nourishment requests, and quality standards.
- Accurately take and verify patient menus according to physician diet orders, adhering to food allergies, intolerances, and preferences promptly. Knowledgeable in nutritional meal patterns and capable of modifying diets with assistance from the Diet Office System.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- Ability to read and identify similarities and differences in words and numbers. Capable of writing simple correspondence and responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in the food industry is highly preferred.
Shift Requirements:
- 8-hour shifts between 5am - 8:30pm with rotating weekends.
