Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Cardiac ICU team at Methodist Children's Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care to infants and children with congenital heart defects, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients with heart failure, after cardiac catheterizations, and after surgical repairs.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification required within 90 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse Texas License or Compact State License required.
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma required.
  • 1-2 years Pedi Cardiac ICU/CVICU acute hospital nursing experience or Critical Care(ICU) experience preferred.
