The Radiologic Imaging Specialist & Medical Support Professional will conduct standard x-ray examinations in alignment with Concentra policies, practices, and regulatory standards under the direct supervision of the attending clinician. This role demands precise and efficient patient care while thriving in a dynamic environment. The RT MSS guarantees that every patient receives top-quality clinical attention and an exceptional experience from our welcoming and skilled staff.
Key Responsibilities
Radiologic Imaging Specialist Duties
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by escorting them to the appropriate areas, providing instructions, and assisting with positioning for optimal imaging.
- Operate imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images, adjusting settings as necessary to meet examination specifications.
- Implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients and team members.
- Maintain imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure adherence to radiology workflows and accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
- Conduct routine maintenance and quality assurance on imaging equipment in accordance with established policies.
Medical Support Professional Duties
- Conduct drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Prepare patients for physical assessments, including taking vital signs and conducting necessary ancillary tests.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and treatments.
- Perform routine medical procedures as directed by the attending clinician.
- Manage clerical tasks related to patient care and documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program and relevant state certification.
- Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with active certification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is mandatory.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of six months of experience in a medical assistant role, with familiarity in medical procedures and terminology.
- Knowledge of occupational medicine standards is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
