Job Title: Director of Automotive Fleet and Shop Operations

Job Summary:

The Director of Automotive Fleet and Shop Operations is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the management of our fleet and shop operations. This role requires a results-driven individual with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our fleet and shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet management and shop operations
  • Lead a team of technicians, shop managers, and parts managers to ensure effective and efficient operations
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely support
  • Monitor and report on financial and operational performance to executives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements governing driver safety, equipment maintenance, and record-keeping
  • Develop and implement policies, goals, and objectives for the department
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop subordinate leaders and associates
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing parts for Exotics Racing

Requirements:

  • Five years' experience in a management position in a racing environment
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an auto parts manager/sales role
  • Computer proficiency
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of dealer-based computer software a plus
  • Flexible shifts including days/nights and possible weekends or holidays
  • Knowledge of European cars a plus
  • Race team parts experience

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically performed in an office environment while sitting at a computer screen for extended periods. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, crouch, or kneel when working with files. Requires making decisions without supervision, freedom to determine tasks, priorities, and goals, being exact or highly accurate, meeting strict deadlines, working with donors, prospects, and the public.
