About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled City Sound Technician to join our team at Dollywood Parks & Resorts. As a key member of our Entertainment Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality sound systems and technical support for our live events and attractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and modify Dollywood's city sound systems to ensure a high-quality entertainment experience for our guests.
  • Provide technical support for multiple areas of the park, including audio level adjustments and scheduling.
  • Make programming changes to existing audio programs and software.
  • React to environmental influencers on sound quality and make operational decisions as needed.
  • Perform routine site maintenance and upkeep of audio systems and related components.
  • Manage daily system schedules and perform audits of components and zone volumes.
  • Record and upload park announcements and execute routine Park Alert system audits.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a live event or audio technical support role.
  • Solid understanding of PA systems, amplification, signal flow, electrical wiring, and microphone systems.
  • Ability to operate a computer and knowledge of general use programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with SMPTE timecode, Apple and Windows computers, and software/hardware items such as QSYS, DANTE, Audio Architect, and Pro Video Player.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
