Job Description

 

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Aleracare in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infusion nursing and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical setting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing nursing services to assigned patients in accordance with their plan of care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records for each patient
  • Making regular progress reports to physicians and updating them on any changes in the patient's condition
  • Conducting initial patient evaluations and assessments, and developing a written plan of care
  • Re-assessing patient conditions regularly and updating the plan of care as needed
  • Initiating preventive nursing procedures as required
  • Preparing clinical and progress notes, coordinating services, and communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Counselling patients and their families on meeting nursing and related needs
  • Providing patient education and teaching materials as necessary
  • Participating in the Performance Improvement program and committees as requested
  • Attending continuing education programs and staff meetings as appropriate to job responsibilities
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program and current RN license
  • At least one year of nursing experience, with infusion nursing experience preferred
  • Effective interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills in speaking and writing
  • Ability to maintain consistently accurate records and recognize and direct information to the appropriate healthcare provider
  • Computer skills that include word processing and efficient use of the internet and email
  • Current CPR card, health certificate, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
Working Conditions

The work environment is a medical infusion center, open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. A competitive hourly rate is offered for this part-time role.
