Clinical Crisis Intervention Specialist

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a member of our Mobile Response Team, you will play a critical role in providing crisis stabilization services, support, and referrals to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities- Complete crisis assessments, including the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (CSSRS), and other clinical documentation as required.
- Respond to crisis calls within an average of 60 minutes for urban locations and 90 minutes for rural locations.
- Assess the safety of individuals and others in crisis.
- Develop crisis safety plans and facilitate linkages to appropriate levels of care.
- Follow up with individuals' ongoing providers to ensure adherence to recommended support and services.
- Facilitate referrals quickly to prevent escalation of crisis.
- Ensure customer service satisfaction surveys are given to individuals contacted by the Mobile Crisis Team.
- Complete necessary documentation to meet regulatory requirements and facilitate reimbursement through primary funding sources.
- Provide crisis follow-up services within 72 hours of crisis disposition for individuals served.
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification and ongoing training in crisis intervention curriculum.
- Two years of post-bachelors professional experience or a bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited institution plus three years of full-time equivalent professional experience in the mental health field.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness, emotional disorders, and substance-related disorders who are experiencing emotional or behavioral crisis.
- Five years of experience working with individuals with mental illness and substance-related disorders who are experiencing emotional or behavioral crisis.
- Knowledge of community services and resources relevant to social determinants of health.
