Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant II to join our team at Seminole Hard Rock Support Services. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for performing full-cycle accounting duties, including month-end and year-end close, and cross-functionally working with other groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile Inventory accounts by researching, identifying variances and posting Journal Entries as needed
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis for Prepaid, Receivable and Cash accounts
  • Resolve account discrepancies by researching, verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions
  • Prepare and post complex Journal entries to General Ledger
  • Assist with Shared Service allocations and inter-company monthly billing
  • Efficiently communicate and work with internal departments to obtain information as required
  • Assist with internal and external auditors as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, as well as minimum five (5) or more years of accounting experience
  • Experience with complex journal entries, inter-company transactions and balance sheets reconciliations required
  • Strong Excel knowledge required
  • Must possess excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of major accounting software packages
  • Capable of handling advanced accounting concepts with minimal supervision and ability to work within deadlines
Language Skills
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
