Mental Health Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (R.N.) to join our mental health team at Millwood Hospital. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with health team members to evaluate patient needs and develop effective treatment plans. **Job Summary:**
The Staff Nurse (R.N.) will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to promote optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing routine tests, and maintaining accurate records
* Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
* Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance quality of life
* Participate in education and training programs to maintain current knowledge and skills
* Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards

**Requirements:**
* Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred
* Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing
* CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment
