Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Orlando Senior Health Network, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and supportive environment for our residents. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to plan, direct, and deliver high-quality resident care, ensuring that each individual receives the attention and support they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care according to physicians' orders and in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Supervise daily functions of the nursing unit, including CNA supervision and delivery of resident care.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide resident care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary resident care conferences to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Collaborate with Social Services to coordinate appointments, transportation, and other services as needed.
  • Discharge or transfer residents, completing necessary paperwork and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Notify attending physicians and resident responsible parties of changes in resident condition, as necessary.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and approach, adhering to established infection control and universal precautions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current LPN license in the state of Florida.
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting, preferably with seniors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
Compensation

Orlando Senior Health Network offers a competitive hourly wage range of $25-$37, depending on experience and qualifications.
