Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Orlando Senior Health Network, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and supportive environment for our residents. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to plan, direct, and deliver high-quality resident care, ensuring that each individual receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with physicians' orders and established standards, ensuring that their physical, social, and psychological needs are met.
  • Supervise daily functions of the nursing unit, including CNA supervision and delivery of resident care, to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that care is coordinated and resident needs are met.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Document resident care, condition, and treatment accurately and completely, ensuring that records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary resident care conferences to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Collaborate with Social Services to coordinate appointments, transportation, and other services as needed.
  • Discharge or transfer residents, completing necessary forms and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Notify attending physicians and resident responsible parties of changes in resident condition, as necessary.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and approach towards nursing care and personnel, adhering to established infection control and universal precautions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
