Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the California Men's Colony. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients in a correctional health care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Organize and coordinate patient care activities, including administering medications, conducting vital signs, and providing emotional support.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely healthcare to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional health care environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
