About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a NICU RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to premature and critically ill infants, including those with complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform tests, and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in neonatal care.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or current Multistate Compact License.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate NRP certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS and STABLE certifications preferred.
  • 1 year of nursing experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit preferred.
