We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a NICU RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized care to infants with complex medical conditions, including respiratory distress, cardiac issues, and neurological impairments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide emotional support and education.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or current Multistate Compact License.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitate NRP certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS and STABLE certifications preferred.
- 1 year of nursing experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit preferred.
