Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct CT scans and other imaging procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast as needed, following safe and proper injection procedures.
  • Transfer images to PACS, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and other relevant systems, ensuring accurate and timely transmission.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to UNC Health Care's standards.
  • Precept new employees and students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility, with a copy of diploma from accredited program required for registry eligible candidates.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment, with successful candidates becoming registered within one year and maintaining registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
  • Current competency in HCP BLS, with all imaging specialists required to maintain this certification.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. The salary range is $40.09 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.
