UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in acquiring and analyzing patient diagnostic data using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducts procedures and tests using CT equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
- Verifies patient identification and documents pregnancy status on patients of childbearing age.
- Obtains images per protocols, manipulates images according to protocols, and performs multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
- Administers oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols and establishes intravenous lines.
- Maintains thorough understanding of PACS and transmits images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and PACS.
- Verifies patient identification in accordance with UNC policy and ensures that all appropriate demographic information is accurate and on the PACS images.
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
- Prior education, training, and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
